Two hawks soar over the top of the rock - no, not Rockefeller or Newark, but rather Washington Rock State Park in Green Brook, NJ. Spring is in full bloom and every tree is green now.

The unexpected 30-mile panoramic vista covers the eastern plains of New Jersey all the way to New York City. During the Revolutionary War, General Washington used this vantage point to monitor General Howe’s British troops as they moved from NYC to Bridgewater and Westfield NJ.
